VTR plc strengthen board with key operational appointment

VTR plc (“VTR” or the “Group”) today announces that Neil Lane has joined the Board as Operations Director with immediate effect.

Mr Lane , aged 38, has worked at VTR for the past 17 years. He is currently Managing Director of TMR, the Group's film mastering and restoration division which also includes the company's DVD production and digital asset management businesses. Neil will assume responsibility for managing all VTR's operational businesses and hence ensure that operational performance, reporting and management are at the heart of the plc Board. He will remain responsible for eTITLE, the Group's project to create an automated subtitling workflow system.

Commenting on Neil's appointment, Paul Tracey , Managing Director of VTR said,

Pursu ant to paragraph 16.4 of the Listing Rules, VTR advises that Mr Lane does not have and has not previously had any other directorship in any other publicly quoted company at any time in the previous five years, and there are no details to be disclosed pursu ant to paragraph 6.F.2 (b) to 6.F.2 (g) of the Listing Rules.
